So, can the VS2005 build a Win32 version >>with<< regular expression support? Or is it worked in
only in the MinGW build?

I am temporarily quite busy with setting up/testing RedHat9 RC3 server, but I would like to help
with Win32 development with VS2005 (don't want to suffer Cygwin debugging).
