The client side should be pretty straightforward if on a Unix-like
system - the current NotifySysadmin.sh script could probably be modified
for it?

For a Windows system, I can probably hack together a VBScript (or maybe
even JScript) that does the same ob as NotifySysadmin.sh, including the
email part. I'll try and have a look later tonight.

This is assuming, of course, that the NotifyScript config option will
gracefully handle a Windows script.

Apart from when I had to turn my backup server off for a week during my
last trip to Milan, my monitoring script on the actual backup server has
done the trick in the past, although obviously this has no effect if the
machine is off or unreachable :-)
