Please don't take the weekly notification of outstanding bugs to mean that
we are not recognising or responding to the issue you've reported. It is
an automated system, nothing more.

We don't use tickets for support requests, because this list is not a
contract support channel, it is a best effort service by volunteers to
help other users in their own time and of their own free will, as and when
they feel like it.

The reason I have not opened a ticket is that I have not yet been
able to identify an actual bug in the software. I'm still trying to work
out, with your help, what is going wrong on your server.

If this command doesn't output anything at all, then your system is
seriously broken way beyond box backup, and I can't advise you what to do
with it apart from replace it with a freshly built system.

If the command does output something, what does it say? It might not tell
you anything, but the output might help us to understand what's going on.

Does "yum install strace" help?

Cheers, Chris.
