I stumbled across the page https://www.boxbackup.org/wiki/BoxComparison

It is very informative and a good starting point for designing better
backup systems.

Could you please update it with:
- hdup has been discontinued: http://www.miek.nl/projects/hdup2/index.html
- ..and replaced by rdup: http://www.miek.nl/projects/rdup/index.html

There are also some interesting git-based backup tools which you should
mention:

http://git-annex.branchable.com/



Please also consider tools like
https://labs.riseup.net/code/projects/backupninja which automate database
backups, since most Linux servers have databases and the issue of backing
up their hot data needs to be solved somehow for each backup system.

Perhaps add a new row in the comparison table titled "Support for automatic
database backups?"
