depends on the size you plan on the store's files to be, but usually
ext3 is great as it's a pretty wide-read standard. if you don't need or
want journaling, ext2 is also great. ext4 is in the works, but is still
beta.

if you want speed, ReiserFS is pretty great, except it's DARN hard to do
disaster recovery on. usually, though, you don't need the speed
performance for backups anyways since it's limited by the data link and
the client's I/O as well.

i'd say ext3 is your best bet.
