No that doesn't work. It's not the bb licence that's incompatible any
more, but the gnu readline (vanilla GPL) is incompatible with OpenSSL
(combined licence). You can't link the two together into the same
executable if you're distributing them, and there's nothing bb can do to
change the readline licence of course.

There is already a solution of course, I added libedit support ages ago
which is just the same as readline but under a BSD licence, simply link
to that instead (use the configure switch).
