James
We had an administrator running the box backup and server
Unfortunately he is no longer here, I had no choice to take over
I am slowly familiarizing myself with the system, but to be realistic this will take a lot of time
If it will take too much time to tell me where to get strace so I can install it for example, can you refer me to maybe a different type of help desk that can assist me in this?
Thank you

Andrew,
(Replying back to the original thread and re-posting to the main list to
keep in context. Also removing extra CC:s.)
Your issue is not listed in the tickets output because it does not
appear to be a bug in the software, nor is it a development issue.
Am I right in thinking you're not familiar with administering a Red Hat
system? You should use your operating system's package tools to install
the strace package.
Do you have a test system that you could also install bbstored onto to
verify it works somewhere else? Perhaps if you had experience of setting
up a new server rather than trying to work out someone else's setup it
would help you.
I hope this helps.
James
