[Box Backup] Client bbackupd crashes with a server error message !

Hello,

I backup a linux box (Debian squeeze) to another linux server (Debian 
squeeze too).
All went well for months but I see today that bbackupd does not want to 
start for 2 or 3 days.
It does not even attempt to initiate a connection to the server:

Note that it is the CLIENT, with option -V.

I remember this corresponds to the date on which I force the update 
(testing) of a few packets in order to remove the mdadm alerts on the 
client.

I found no answer to my problem on google.

Could you recommend a particular test to repair my installation?
