This has worked quite well for me. My OSX laptop is backed up anywhere that has an internet connection. Even when visiting Samana DO! : - )> It also backs up a couple of desktops in the house. I couldn't find a pre-built windoze client the last time I looked. That would be a useful addition. Cheers, Jim. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hello everybody I've received this mail also lately, this last week. I don't use anymore this project, but I stay in interrested :) In my part is missing a web gui to manage backup and allow user to retrieve data. And actually I use seafile project to manage user backup/sharing. I'm happy to see this project alive again :) Km From chris+google at qwirx.com Sat Mar 24 20:19:47 2018 From: chris+google at qwirx.com (Chris Wilson) Date: Sat, 24 Mar 2018 20:19:47 +0000 Subject: [Box Backup] Marketplace page on the website Message-ID: Hi all, Richard Eigenmann pointed out that none of the providers listed on the website Marketplace page (aka Commercial Support and Hosting) are actually offering services at the moment. Therefore we propose to remove the contents of that page, and leave it as a minimal placeholder in case anyone does decide to offer commercial services in future. Please reply if you object to that plan, otherwise we will make the change shortly. Thanks, Chris. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi all, Thanks to those who replied! I'm sorry that my message came out late. We discovered that my emails were not reaching the list, and were being silently held in a queue. So I'm really sorry to everyone who sent me an email over the last few years and apparently didn't get my reply. I may have missed a few with the pressures of my new life, but I have tried hard to help anyone who has had problems with Box, and I continue to do so. I'm unable to edit the website at the moment (James is in the process of moving it to a Github Wiki which should fix this problem for good), but for anyone looking for pre-built Windows binaries, they can be found on the Github Releases page: https://github.com/boxbackup/boxbackup/releases I will think about a web interface. It's pretty hard to do: several attempts have fallen by the wayside. But I want to integrate Box Backup with the QNAP NAS OS, which has a web interface, therefore I will probably need to write one myself, sooner or later. But I want to get at least Amazon S3 support finished and merged first. Thanks, Chris.
